2. The essentials

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser (no local storage, no session storage) and uses no analytics or tracking services. I serve fonts, images and videos myself, without any connection to Google or other third parties. There is no contact form.

I only process personal data for technical reasons when the site is accessed (sections 3 and 4) and when you send me an email (section 5).

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. This serves the delivery and security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept only briefly.

A data processing agreement is in place with Vercel. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR); EU standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

4. Language on your first visit

When you arrive from elsewhere, the site picks German or English from your browser's language setting and, if that is not clear, from the country Vercel derives from your IP address. This is evaluated for that one request only and not stored; no cookie is set. From then on the language lives in the address alone (/en). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the interest being to show you the site in your language.

5. Contact by email

When you write to me, I process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). My email runs on Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation B.V., Beneluxlaan 4B, 3527 HS Utrecht, Netherlands) with data centres in the EU; a data processing agreement is in place with Zoho. I delete emails once they are no longer needed for the matter and no statutory retention periods apply.

6. Links to other sites

Links to VYRNOX, LinkedIn and GitHub are plain links. No data is transferred until you open them; the respective provider's privacy policy applies there. I embed no plugins or content from other providers.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15–20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). A message to hello@petjaklass.dev is enough.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

8. Security

All connections to this website are encrypted via TLS. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
